Yeah, the blackened with campaign brown looks amazing. Now I wish I had ordered the Knight with that color grip instead of "dark brown" haha!

You could probably contact Albion and ask them to change the grip color.

You could probably contact Albion and ask them to change the grip color. I'm seriously considering it but I've already bugged the heck out of Mike with changes. Hopefully the Knight is getting close to completion as it has already been 8 months (quoted 8-10 at time of order), but I know the dying is pretty much the last part of the process. I feel bad because I went back and forth on antiquing a Yeoman, I ended up deciding not to get it done. I like it, but my OCD screams "it's messed up!" in the back of my feeble mind. Maybe I'll lighten the mood by calling Monday and paying off the Crecy before I ask haha. I've actually been looking into ways to lighten or even change the grips on ones I currently have since they are all black or dark brown except for one. I just don't want to risk messing them up. I certainly don't want to re-wrap since Albion does such a great job, but I was seriously considering using some kind of solution to lighten one of the dark brown ones for a while. I even considered trying to strip and re-dye one of them blue. I do like that "mottled" look anyway. I have pretty much discarded the idea, I don't want to mess them up too badly. Plus it gives me an excuse to buy more swords! Part of me is still considering sending the Ringeck in to be refinished. I was able to buff out the parts that I scrubbed rust off of too aggressively, but it isn't perfect anymore. If I do I will pay to get the black grip re-wrapped a really cool color I think.

I just ordered three Albion swords and have one I will customize with markings on the blade. Albion is very good and open to some special requests and booked with DBK for scabbards for the three swords. 1 year roughly for the swords and a 2.5 to 3 year wait on the scabbards

Thanks first purchases from Albion as I'm new to the sword collecting. The three sword are Ljubljana , Landgraf and the Baron. The Baron's blade will be customized with three incised crosses marked on both sides of the blade to give it a templar theme. Mike at Albion and Brian at DBK are great craftsman . Look foreword to many more swords and scabbards in the coming years.

you should start a new topic on your swords and 2026 scabbards so we can all subscribe and see the pictures in a couple of years.
I also have 3 Albions on order. The Landgraf is the only one we both selected. Mine will have dark green leather.
