Originally I was looking at purchasing the Atrim French Medieval Falchion but now that Angus is slowing down business I don't think he is really taking commissions anymore. At the moment I'm considering In'Carius Craft but was wondering what other smiths people would recommend. I saw that Pellius recently received a custom falchion from L Driggers but am not sure if they are currently taking commissions. Ideally, it would be a package deal with sword and scabbard from the same person to reduce shipping costs.
Cheers

L Driggers is not accepting commissions at the moment. If he opens up, I would wholeheartedly recommend grabbing a commission slot immediately.
James Elmslie does very fine work, and is a genuine academic expert on falchions. I don’t know whether he takes commissions. If he does, I would expect him to be in the $5k+ range.
ATrim falchions pop up from time to time. A craftsman might customize one for you. Dunno about a custom straight from ATrim. Offering Gus a lot of money might work.
Albion falchions are really nice, though the only custom option I know of is grip color. Again, getting one customized might be a possibility.
I seem to recall Tom Kinder making a nice messer a while back. Maybe he could be persuaded.
I don’t have any experience with In'Carius Craft.
If you find a custom falchion maker that’s taking commissions, please share with the forum!
Good hunting.

Leo Todeschini of Tod's Workshop, Fabrice Cognot, Gael Fabre, and Owen Bush could all make you a stunning falchion. Most of them have wait times exceeding a year though.

Maciej Kopciuch has some nice looking falchions. I have never seen his stuff in person though. It looks like he would add custom options. Follow the link below to his falchion page: artofswordmaking.com/category/falchions

Thanks for the replies stormmaster - My budget would be around $1400USD which I don't think would be enough for james. Does he have a website? pellius - Thanks for the confirmation and many recommendations. Essentially what I'm after is exactly the same as this production tpye f3e from Atrim but with a slightly different pommel. I messaged Rafal from In'Carius and he confirmed being open to making one and has previously made some reversed edged falchions. jamanticus and captainh - thank you both as well for the recommendations. I've had a look and their works are outstanding but most likely even a more simple design compared to some of the examples would be out of my budget range for now.

You are right about James being outside your budget but Maciej could make u a simple one for your budget for sure, especially if u opt for no scabbard

Arann Reichhardt would be in your budget. Not sure about wait time or shipping cost, he's in Italy.

Arann Reichhardt would be in your budget. Not sure about wait time or shipping cost, he's in Italy. Arann Reichhardt (a super swell guy that is more easily reachable on Instagram but he's working on his Facebook) approximately starts at 600€ for simple swords, 200€ for plain scabbards (he can do absolutely awesome leather work though). Wait time is no less than 10 months if I recall clearly. One thing to keep in mind is because of Italian Law, he cannot ship fully sharpened blades out of the country. He still can make them close enough to easily sharpened by hand if need be however.

stormmaster - Thankyou I'll be sure to contact him Scott and soulfromheart - Thankyou for the recommendation but the none sharp aspect is a bit of a concern for me because I don't have any experience sharpening swords and don't know of anyone close who does either L Driggers - It's between these 2 but most likely the left one
