When i first came to the area, we used to dive the many wrecks on the eastern corner of Lake Ontario out of Kingston. There are a lot more objects/boats/small planes/a few helicopters/other things down there than whats listed in this article. Drug and cigarette runners dont often report missing boats. On one occasion, we encountered water so turbulent it almost drove us under. So much rain we couldnt see the prow from the wheelhouse. It felt like a storm had crash right on top of us. Then a single massive boom & it was gone. Conditions changed in minutes. We left port on a lake of glass and returned to Kingston in roughly the same conditions; five other commercial boats reported the same strange weather. Needless to say i dove the St Lawrence after that but not in the Triangle again. The Triangle of Lake Ontario
Cheers Ouro Edit: in the summer of 2021, i returned to some of the stranger local places. This is from one corner of the triangle looking out into Lake Ontario.

Thanks for sharing, I was unaware of that one. I knew of the one that had an anchor point at south Florida and a few others around the world with about the same latitude as the one off of Florida IIRC.

That's the first time I ever heard of that triangle. How do the legalities work regarding a dive find? If you find something valuable do you have to report it, or does it depend on the age of the crash? There must be limitations on what objects you can keep.

A Canadian version exists but im too tired to link it. Figured this would be more appropriate given the likely geographic locale of the general audience.
