(Possibly) my next custom

So, I’m really feeling the itch for another custom sword. It’s been a year and a half since my first and so far only arrived, and almost three years since commissioning it. That was my Castle Keep Petersen Type A early Viking sword. It was made to be as accurate as was feasible at the price range, and I absolutely love it. For my next on though, I’m looking to go in a slightly more fantastic direction. I’m looking at possibly commissioning a custom realistic fantasy cut and thrust sword inspired by the Telmarine swords used in the 2008 Prince Caspian movie, but with a few design differences (namely the guard) to make it my own (and avoid WETA Workshop’s lawyers lol) I made a crude sketch of it and found a decent picture of the prop it’s inspired by, and so far have shown Gael Fabre it. He thought it would be a super cool project and was able to divine my design from the poor quality sketch with help from the prop photo. He said it would be fun and not that difficult, except for the guard, which would require hammer forging two pieces together which would raise the price a fair bit. Overall though his quote was pretty reasonable and I’m looking into my finance options to see if it’s realistic and if it is I’ll go ahead and order it. There’s a lot going on right now IRL though for the next few weeks so I have no clue if it’s feasible yet but should know in a few weeks. The design itself would be a diamond section cut and thrust blade, a curved guard with hand guard, an egg shaped pommel (all hilt furniture steel) and dark blue leather grip wire wrapped with steel wire.
