Hi all, I have an idea for a unique take on the mastersword, but I'm having trouble finding someone who will take on the project, been rejected twice so far and expecting a 3rd one in my inbox by the morning. Anyone have any referals? I specifically need someone whos familar with octagonal geometry, and preferable knoweldgable on chinese swords as well. Tough order I know lol. I have a another plan If I can't find a smith but its pretty convoluted and likely to be a mess.

1. What's your budget? 2. Have you talked with Brendan at Fable Blades?

Depending on the level of decoration you want, you might try Sterling Armory. As we discussed re: the Irish bastard sword, great to work with, and the lead maker, Chris, could probably handle any type of geometry you're looking for. If my memory serves, I believe Chris has a Chinese martial arts background, and has made a couple Jian.

John Lundemo from Longship armoury could do it too but there might be a bit of a wait but that's true of most custom makers

I was thinking about them, but their issue with warped blades has me concerned. thats somewhat acceptble for sub-1000 production blades, but for customs in Albions price range not so much lol

Try Wes Beam, he does fantastic work.
Another to try is Jeffrey Robinson, who has a completed master sword ready, unless someone bought it (there is one guy going around buying em all đź‘ş)

He is who I am planning on getting to make the guard If I have to go the other route I'm trying not to take. I'm not sure he could handle actual design.

Pretty Sure Jeffrey can handle almost any design you want. Getting him to do it in a short period of time may not happen.

I personally love the Jeffrey Robinson rendition of the Master Sword. Per his website commissioning one would run $4k, which is a lot, but his stuff is truly beautiful.

I'm actually not a fan of that one, but after reviewing his other work I am thinking of him now, though I am still considering the other method I have on the back burner, I need to draw up some sketches to send out and see who gives me the best answer.
