Dies anyone remember the movie Robinhood: Prince of Thieves starring Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman? I have been trying to find out what type of sword Morgan Freeman's character Azim was carrying. Can anyone help with this dilemma? It is driving me bloody bananas. 😾

Or more specifically a fantasy inspired scimitar. Historic versions were not that wide. |

It was pretty memorable, with an atypical point even for a dancing sword and a hilt that looked more like a dark age spatha. So a successful design for a movie sword, since we're talking about it decades later. Little in the movie was very historically correct.
