Well, this has been a fun and interesting journey!
I'll make a more general announcement, once I get my membership status updated to Vendor, and finish coordinating the roll-out with appropriate parties.
But - you heard it here first, folks!
My online store,
rambletree.net/, will be the storefront for Printed Armoury H/T Hilt Components.
I've been working with designer Mike Jia, and Luis of LG Martial Arts to transition the products over.
Printed Armoury will have a section under Collaborations, with links to his Blog and Shapeways store.
Luis is sending the physical inventory to me in Vermont, and I'm building out the info and product pages on my store.
Given the logistics and ecommerce setup, ballpark timeline: 2 weeks to go live.
I look forward to offering:
- A clear, easy online buying experience.
- Accurate inventory/availability.
- Prompt shipping, with tracking.
- Excellent customer service and communication with the Medieval sword community.
My business has a tax nexus in Vermont, which means:
- No tax charged for orders from outside of Vermont.
- 6% sales tax for Vermont customers.
B2B:
- Bulk/quantity pricing, invoicing and freight.
- Tax exemptions available for commercial customers.
------------------------------------------------------------
Not selling blades/weapons for now - until I get the business considerations worked out (liability, policies, payment processor for 'high-risk' products, etc.)
Down the road possibilities/irons-in-the-fire:
3-D printed grips.
Wood grip cores for DIY leather wrapping.
Finished unique/exotic wood grips.
Simple, universal guard and pommel blanks.
-maybe- facilitating design/fabrication of custom pieces.
Selling swords, knives, bare blades, (sharp pointy things).
If I go that route, it will be a smooth transition of customers/products/policies over to a dedicated 'sharp pointy thing' store.
Stay Tuned!
