I can tell you what my dream sword carrying case would be. It would be made from cherry with a high gloss coating. The inside would be of a hard foam covered in velvet. There would be a space for the sword and a space for the scabbard. The sword care kit would be of pine and cheap foam and felt covering. I may or may not have once carried a rifle in it. And where im from isn't much different than Mexico lol. A lady came to town, from Mexico. My dad asked her what Mexico was like and she said "same as here". So kinda lol, if you line up enough events

Well, metis do. Apparently I just sound like a Canadian guy, ever since I lost my accent

Late to this thread, but motorcycle transport complicates things. On a plane I'd just go with a hard rifle case; in a car, I've used my plethora of katana sleeves, blankets, and even socks to protect swords and knives I'm bringing along.
But on a bike... Hmm... I've seen people somehow mount swords to their front forks, but I don't like that idea, myself. Even if you have a luggage rack, the problem will be height. Obviously you'd be wanting to stand it upright as laying it sideways, making your bike four times as wide, would be as silly as putting a flag on the end so you can make your bike twice as long.
If it's just one sword, and just a short trip. I'm reminded of a leather rifle bag that lives in my gun cabinet, both of which predating my birth as far as I'm aware, with a strap on it. I'd consider putting a sword in that and throwing it over my back if I needed to get one sword from Point A to Point B on a motorcycle.

And if you've given the deminsions of the sword I've missed that too.

I assumed you meant just an accent in general

We all assume the personal aspect first. It’s just human nature. I’ve only dealt with eastern Canadians and other than the French Canadians, they (from Ontario) didn’t have much of an accent. Just said ‘eh’ a lot. Never met any western Canadians, eh. 😏

Did you ever hear English spoken with a Bavarian accent?

Music gear bags can be a good (non-rigid) general solution. Lightweight, padded, often with handles/shoulder slings. Speaker stand bags would be long enough for most longswords/two-handers. The kind that hold two stands, and have a 'fold-down' divider may be wide enough to accommodate cross-guards. Try Sweetwater (online music retailer). They have prompt communications/chat about product dimensions and whatnot.
-Also, Canadians speak something other than French/Quebecois? (haha - I'm in Vermont, next door to Quebec)

Oh yea, there is a whole Lotta Canada outside of Quebec lol. Quebec is just a louder portion then the rest of us.
Letter Kenny and Trailer Park Boys do a good enough job of representing the rest of us. I'm of the letter Kenny kind of Canadian

Spent too much time in New York State, Massachusetts and a few others.

A term once used in a mix between indigenous and French, but is now used for any mix between European settler and indigenous Canadian

I have never heard the word before. Not even from Canadian friends. Thanks for the education. How is it pronounced?

Thanks, AndiTheBavarian. You jerk! One of my interests is anthropology (weird since physics was my strong suit). Now I must do more research on these people. Thanks for adding one more thing to my plate that is already over full. 😾 😹😹😹😹

And if you've given the deminsions of the sword I've missed that too. I’ve carried swords internationally using mostly the typical 36” luggage designed for air travel. In some cases such as with katanas I disassembled. Some I have had to place diagonally, right to left and/or top to bottom in the bag. I always made VERY sure the tip was well covered. Others, sword canes, sword umbrellas, etc. were less of a problem. On one occasion I used a, I want to say a surf board bag but I think it was something similar but shorter, to carry two sword sticks in. Not to waste the chance in that case I did use the unused space for other things as well. But again you are stingy with your information so maybe that will be of no help.
