Wow, do I ever finally feel vindicated after all these years! (rofl) I've always liked my old CS Grossy a lot (even w/o your I'm sure awesome mods) and felt like a fairly lonely voice in the wilderness defending it. (Don't even get me started on my feelings on the infamous MA review of it. :P ) It's a big of a chunker for sure, and given the slow recovery on some strikes I'd have to be in some armor and putting it to battlefield use to be comfortable. Still, and while I have seen more grudging acceptance of it in recent years, it still feels good to have someone knowledgeable who doesn't just label it a big piece of feces. :) AHhhaha it's not crappy. That one is an exception, super cutter at that price range. It just "accidentally" got many things right for a cutter. :D

Ronin's Dojo line uses through hardened 1060 steel right? How does this affect the rigidity of the blade, especially this longer one on a o-katana? How much can you flex it? Do you observe or feel the flex when you go through the targets? How does this impact the performance?

Since this one is pretty thick, it's very stiff. It doesn't flex when the cut is good and no vibration from the impact.
