Thanks for watching. You're the first one to reply! HHahhaha Post is still young, so hey :) How long do you soak and dry the newspaper tatami? Have had some problems making them, but have not had to many atempts yet.. I soak for about 15 mins and I cut them all wet. The newspapers roll were made with PPR core of different size inside to act as different kind of living bone simulator.

Exceptionally clean cuts, especially given the more realistic targets you set up. Speaks both the the quality of the sword and the swordsman.
Your videos are always appreciated and impressive. Thanks all the hard work!

Okay, now I have to ask. How did the edge handle the hard targets? If you honed it that sharp I've got to wonder about any rolling or chipping.
If no damage then, well, the manufacturer deserves some applause. No doubt I could wreck it, but I'm a newbie to cutting.

If you refer hard target as living bone like material, it cut through them without any damages.

You caught me, I suppose we should technically consider a kabuto a hard target. For our purposes, though, few people out there are testing against muscle and bone simulation, together, so I consider this quite impressive.

They're things that a swordsman should actively avoid hitting at, unless soft armors that can be cut into. So the hard armors were not targets, not in my definition. Targets were supposed to be the things that the weapon is specially designed for. That's what target is for me. If kabuto is the target, the weapon shouldn't be sword but some bludgeoning weapons.
