Greetings!! Did a review on the Get Dressed For Battle Flail..
Everyone seems to have an opinion on the flail and I was no different.. Is it possible that my position has changed?
Maybe, sorta.. I dont completely know. All that I know is that there will definitely be a part 2 to this video.
Enjoy

It is good to see you again bro! I am thinking that based on what I know about flails, this should probably have performed better then it did but I am guessing it might just be that the end-weights are a little too small/light. Combine that with the apprehensiveness(Understandable lol) of swinging it as hard as it should be might lead to the less then stellar result. If you consider something like the A&A Spiked Flail, I think the results would be a lot more brutal. Perhaps also safer based on design. www.arms-n-armor.com/collections/in-stock/products/spiked-flail Thanks!! We are definitely revisiting this, I really think flails need a longer haft. Without the gloves and heavy gambeson, my fingers would have been pulverized, lol. So, yes, we are gonna come back to this with a couple different flails because when it connected, it caused significant damage. So, yeah, we are also making a more time period flail on the end of a longer haft. We will hopefully have that up soon-ish.. lol Thanks again

I feel slightly about flails the way Shadiversity feels about nun-chucks. Why not just use a stick? One with a weight on the end if we're talking about flails. I think there's a name for that kind of weapon.

I think there's a name for that kind of weapon. The primary benefit of a flail is that its flexible structure transmits only a tiny fraction of its striking energy into the hand/arm of the wielder. This means that a flail user can safely accelerate the flail along its entire striking arc, and is also of particular benefit to cavalry, where the additional force of the horse's mass and velocity could cause a solid weapon strike to injure both wielder and target.
