Again a well made review! I also really like this sword. Maybe I’ll buy one some time.
Furthermore I also fully agree with your comment that you cannot be a master in any swordsmanship style if you cannot handle a real sword. If the forms of a style are too dangerous to be exercised with a real sword, by an advanced student, then there’s something wrong with the style.

Chinese fencing is cool, so its sad to see so little care for it. It is weird that you can spar with other weapons, but swords get left out. It probably has a lot to do with image, i imagine. A lot of traditional styles struggle to appear "family frendly" from what i have heard, and leaving the more "spooky" weapons as dance objects is probably a effort to seem more modern.

A nice review! Haven't seen any review on this model of LK Chen sword really. It's a more common type of Chinese sword reproduction, but I like LK Chen's elegant interpretation of it. Thanks!
