Is it just me or was this ostrich toying with that guy?

He let the ostrich win. I regularly run down these birds on an almost daily basis with no problems at all. The city cops aren't happy about me letting the birds out, but whatever.

Depends how hungry you are. Once ostrich egg can feed a family of 4 for a week.

Based on courtsmartial records, during the Boer War, some of the British troops used to run wild ones down, then bugger them.

Before pushing the ‘go’ button and not seeing your video thought I’ve seen an ostrich and man race and wondered about the subject of your video. I’m not sure if it’s the same and I had considered it was a result of the ostrich’s stride I didn’t know about the leg strength but am not surprised. I did enjoy watching.

A friend of mine from Africa once told me an old saying from his village: "When the lion wakes up, he knows that to survive he has to run down the slowest zebra. When the zebra wakes up, he knows that to survive he has to outrun the fastest lion. The moral of the story is that when you wake up in Africa, you better be running."

And here I thought the zebra woke up knowing he just had to outrun the slowest zebra.
