Using the full attack style to cuts with "Little cutie" the dha, "Giant Silvia" and "Reborn" the nagamaki on upper arm targets.

Looks like you figured out the nagamaki! I have that sword on my short list of near future purchases... Yeah. I used to cut with a style that allows "simultaneously defense" in the trade off of cutting reach and slower tip speed. This time I cut with "japanese style grip" that is "full attack mode". The nagamaki and dha shine in this mode immediately, due to their single curvature enabled the slice in these extended reach, long high speed arc cuts.

Excellent! That is the part of the sword hobby that I enjoy the most. It's nice to have the sword itself to appreciate for the art and history, but I get a thrill out of unlocking the secrets of it's use. Each blade design was specifically engineered to be used in a certain way against various targets such as armored, unarmored, horses, combat, personal defense, etc. I'm a bit of a geek for the engineering and application I've mentioned before that I've found very little written about the nagamaki technique. It's good that you have practiced with it and unlocked some of it's secrets. This is very useful information for me since you aren't just some guy off the street swinging the blade around, but an experienced hand with many types of swords. I want the nagamaki more than ever now, but it's too big to sneak into the house unnoticed and the wife is giving me the evil eye already because I've spent my hobby budget on other things Maybe in a month or two I'll get the order in.

Maybe a Gucci or two would help calm her down. LOL!

Very cool. Longships are out of my budget range, so t’s fun to see them in action.

Very cool. Longships are out of my budget range, so t’s fun to see them in action. Understandable. The ones I have are tailor made for my style so they may not be the same as the other longship swords out there. Generally broader and thinner.

Longship Armoury Reborn vs upper arm covered in Ikea bag, a very tough and ductile bag. It increases the difficulty at least 30%.

Experimenting a new technique that will enable straight swords to cut almost as good as curved swords did before, and curved swords cut SUPER good now, through the denim bag as if it wasn't even there.

Trying out straight swords' cutting ability on denim covered upper arm target with the latest technique. Tengu cut into the bone and No Remorse cut through the whole thing.

That gives me an idea. Possibly a cloth bag shopping bag from the grocery store? I’ll check it out.
