Could you reply in forum? I wouldn't mind hearing how it handles/functions as well.

Truly beautiful sword. I was e-mailing Jason at AoV about other things, and got onto that sword, here's what he said: The Flame of Angles is heavy, but I still find it very powerful feeling in the hands. I have not cut with one yet, but feel that if I did it would cut through anything. Even as heavy as it is in two hands it is manageable. It is definitely a sword for a warrior. Kindest Regards, Customer Service Arms of Valor, Ltd. Gotta show it:

C'mon Adam. You went to the trouble of designing it, and waited a long time for it to be realized in steel.
Give us an unbiased and comprehensive review, warts and all!

Its really a nice design and seems as nicely executed, fantasy yet not overdone. I agree with the other forumites here, i cant wait to see a review ! I still havent been able to get myself to buy a functional fantasy blade but i'm sure getting close to it; Matthew Stagmer's SBG fantasy design, the Woodward and Adam's flame by DSA are all runner-up to be the first ones ! I've bought all my swords ( except my 3 first ones ) based on SBG's members reviews, and i still expect to do so in the future

I can tell you that Adam was not very happy with the sword. Darkswords are not for everyone. It is heavy, but I believe it is still wield-able and cuts like a beast. I will probably also do a review to give my perspective. Bottom line, when compared to an Albion or an Atrim it is totally out of it's league, but as a stand alone fantasy sword I think it is a cool looking sword that is extremely durable and fully functional.

I'll second heavy. I did get a look at it when I visited Adam and I have my first impressions...but I'll wait till Adam does his review.

Can't wait for a rewiev of this one. I love the blade geometry on this sword!

I like the Gaurdian sword a bit more... but I DO like the look of the Flame as well. The very slight leaf-blade is, it me, very attractive.

Well that depends on if Adam comes back or not. He has taken a leave of absence. I'll send you a PM of what I thought of the sword though.

Cold Napalm? Would you mind sending your thoughts to me as well?
I know of your general dislike of DSA, but I still respect your opinion on the subject and I'm very interested in this blade...

I really wish people would just post their thoughts on the sword (especially those that own it) instead of PMing it to people. As long as insults are left out of it, the information can do nothing but help shed light on the sword.

I'll start by saying I DON'T have this sword, but at 4.5lbs... is that a pretty accurate weight? I have the DSA Ranger and it weighs in at over 6lbs. I find that sword very wieldable. Now if I had to take it into battle, I might be singing a different tune. Personally, i love the looks of this sword. I think its a great combination of fantasy and medieval. If someone has this sword and isn't happy with it, I might be interested in taking it off your hands. (if I can scrape the $$ together)
