Oh, good; he did get to add the mark.
Honestly, I'm still not sold on the squared side rings, but the rest of the sword looks fantastic.

The couple of kukris I got from GGK were labeled "Decorate Handicraft" on the packing slip. I wonder what this will be labeled. "Decorate Badass Handicraft" perhaps.

The import label is there to get the buyer out of potential trouble with the authority. Someone once shipped me an Albion and stated "state prop" on the declaration. Another shipped a custom scabbard for another Albion sword and declared "purse for women". Yeah I would love to have my wife carrying that "purse" around town.

Yeah I would love to have my wife carrying that "purse" around town. not even the authorities; swords are perfectly legally OK here in Germany, for example. The problems are the shipping companies: DHL and UPS have EXPLICITLY ruled out ANY kind of weapon to be transported with them - what doesnt keep them from doing the shipping for every single sword seller in Germany... thats no problem because they cant see whats inside the package in-country; no paperwork, no invoice attached to the package. I dont want to know what will happen if they ever get behind it...

I got this box too. And it's not easy to open at all. After some "open sesame" comment (A.K.A. smashing it to bits with a polehammer), I finally got my swords out of Purna's mystery box.

Well that would certainly make for an interesting unboxing video...

It has arrived.
My insufficient communication resulted in the heron only being engraved on one side, but it works out fine. The pommel's shape is beautifully done, although it turned out a little smaller than I pictured. It meets my specs though, so that's completely on me and my design. The fit and finish is a little rough in a few spots, but expecting perfection would be ridiculous for the speed and price that Purna offers.
The PoB is about 4" from the crossguard, which feels really good. Overall it weighs almost exactly 3 lbs. Like everything Purna touches, the edge is crazy sharp...can't wait to test it out. I'll get more and better pictures soonish. An unboxing/first impressions video will be up on my channel in a day or two, and a review sometime in the next few weeks.

Looks fairly realistic and dare I say, "immersive", with those historically inspired hilt components. The square looking side rings are a little odd, but they do look unique. This looks more like a swordmaster's blade that has been used to slay dozens of opponents, compared to Fable Blades' rendition of the Heron Saber. Brendan does beautiful work, but his just look that much more like a modern manufactured product than a weapon from the past. Looks fun to handle given the stats, too.

Yeah, the squarish rings turned out a little differently than I imagined, but I like how they add a bit of a fantastical look to the sword.

Hi all; the "Purnavester" is slowly taking shape! Awesome! Thanx! To Ser Alientude: i hope its okay to tag along in this thread. Holger used his now sold ZT Harvester prototype as a base, changed tip and blade geometry. Purna refined the design and promises to keep the final ready made sword way under 1500g which would be great against the 1800g on the original ZT model! Sword will feature copper bolsters, black leather grip wrap and black leather scabbard with copper tip.
