Thanks to pgandy and bruntson for helping out with pronouncing Chitlange. I'm sure I still absolutely butchered it.

Purna did a great job on sharpening and you gave the noodle a fit. Nice review. And I got honourable mention to boot. 😉

Nice review. I got a 15" sirupate from Purna that is sharp as heck. I loved it so much I ordered another, smaller, one.
Based on my limited experience, I've decided I prefer the traditional stick-tang handles on kukris for the reason mentioned in the video. The wood can change and no longer align flush with the metal. Not a problem with a hidden tang.

Thanks guys. The two blades I have from Purna are both ridiculously sharp without seeming fragile in the least.

That's a great review. Now I feel naked with out owning a Purna Khakuri. I've been eye balling the GGK catalog for the past 36 hours.

Thanks! Honestly, for the prices GGK charges, anybody who has any interest in khukuris owes it to themselves to buy one.

I'm tempted to by more from GGK while they're cheap and the quality is so high. But how many kukris does a body need?

I think the answer to that is the same as I tell my wife when she asks how many swords I need..."all of them."

Absolutely awesome ! As I have been said on many threads, the sharpness of his blades is off the roof (and I don't recall ever seeing a secondary bevel either). (So, what khukuris caught your eyes ? )

I was talking up GGK to my brother and his eye fell on this kukri. He hemmed and hawed about buying it so I sent him a link to this review. He pulled the trigger and ordered it. It arrived today and he's so enamored, he keeps texting me pictures. I told him he's on the slippery slope toward kukri madness.

You absolutely cannot go wrong with the Limbuwan indeed. Probably my favorite khukuri overall (and totally my wife's favorite in terms of handling ).
