While perusing ebay recently, I came across this listing:
Knowing next to nothing about antique swords, I was curious what people with far more knowledge about these thought.

These appear to be a French mle 1882 infantry officers sword and a British p 1897 infantry officer sword. From what little the images show, there is nothing particularly special about either of them. watch completed and sold listings on ebay to gauge value. The 1897 would be more valuable with its brown leather covered field scabbard. The monogram on the 1882 is likely impossible to trace as to the owner. The seller is sharing no pertinent information as to the makers and better dating them. I can guess that both are 20th century.
