"Compromised" includes more different cases than just "totaly absent". A just "badly working" immune system still can profit from a booster shot. It's a case by case decision.

As far as I know Andi is correct. That category will be amongst the first to receive a booster. If the system of those compromised totally failed the government would not be wasting the vaccine on them. The booster was at first announced to be available in 2022. Then one report said they would commence 20 September. I’ve heard no more of that date, but 2022 again. People are still lined up for their first and second injection. Hazel's second is scheduled for October and she is by no means a the end of the line.

In my case it was determined to not be beneficial. I am not producing antibodies in sufficient quantity for even a vaccine to help.

Just got my 3rd shot booster Biontech/Pfizer, 6 months after the second shot. I'll let you know when I survive! But I'm in a hurry now, must install Windows 11.

I'm looking into getting my Pfizer booster in the next few weeks.

Got my Moderna booster 2 weeks back, with no negative effects. I'd never considered how useful levitation would be when changing light bulbs.

After the first night just a little pain in the shoulder muscle, no fatigue this time, slept long and well.

I've had 3 members of close family get the Pfizer booster at this point, I won't be eligible for a couple more months. I'm with Moderna anyway.s
All reported the Pfizer booster to be an easier ride than Dose 2. However, one did not properly hydrate before the shot and experienced headache and dizziness nearly to the point of syncope. Consult medical authorities, but it seems loading up on water ahead of time is important.

True, less side effects with the booster for me. Doc said also I should drink enough what I do anyway. (Bavarians fear nothing but thirst)

I received the 3rd Pfizer shot this morning and am feeling, no effects 2 hours later. I have not had the information confirmed but when young I was told that having a reaction to a vaccine indicated that I was susceptible to whatever the vaccine was for and I believe this. That first shot took me about 3 days to recover from indicating that I was a good candidate for the virus, if true. The second one went much better. I didn’t feel quite right but was able to function. Today I only feel the effects of that early rising.
Edited: Soreness in the vaccination area set in about 18:00 and contiues through this morning.

I was fully vaxxed in Dec'20, I tested positive for Covid (Delta variant) in Aug'21, and the day after I tested positive I received the Regeneron (monoclonal antibodies) infusion.
I'm pretty sure i'm good in terms of protection via natural immunity through having had Covid, being vaxxed, and the monoclonal antibodies infusion. So I more than likely won't be getting my booster, unless of course they decide to mandate boosters.

Omicron is a joke because it is less deadly (as of now, anyway, and assuming you were originally vaxxed) than the flu, so COVID will turn into a seasonal deal just like the flu, and they don't mandate flu shots.

Exactly. Sadly tho, every time I turn on the television I see the news trying to scare people with falsehoods about omicron. There's a list of Liberal cities around the U.S. that are requiring proof of Covid vaccinations to enter ANY businesses, like restaurants, movies, bars, etc. and I am now hearing there are places in the North East, like some of the financial institutions on Wall St., that are requiring boosters to enter their buildings. There's some rumblings around the medical community that hospitals and clinics may mandate boosters for employees like they have the vaccinations. Just waiting to see how many employers try and adopt the practice.

Funny thing is, fully vaxxed & boosted people still get and spread the virus, but don't know if rate is reduced compared to non vaxxed. I hope Omicron completely takes out Delta and remaining original strain of COVID.

With the Delta variant vaxxed individuals carried more than twice the normal viral load in the nares/nasal passages vs. the unvaxxed so it was spread faster via the vaxxed population. Haven't heard anything in regards to Omicron yet. A little side note... Omicron multiplies faster in the airway passages but slower in the lungs than Delta did which is why Omicron so far has shown to be more contagious yet causes less-severe disease processes.

Sounds like BS to me. But feel free to enlighten me with valid medical study data sources saying so. There is no different viral load between vaccinated and unvaccinated (there is a different viral load at any infection). But the vaccinated immune system fights the virus faster and better than the unvaccinated, so the time the virus can be spread is shorter. Between two persons with similar viral loads and similar social habits, the unvaccinated will spread the virus more.

You can "talk" all you want but that is the literature I read, and information given to us by our research center. The vaccinations for the most part have also shown to be not-worth-a-semprini, so there's that. Enjoy the rest of your day.
