Btw, my second shot was 2 weeks ago and in retrospect I was a bit tired the whole first week, but less than after my first shot. Now I feel indestructable except my hurting left knee. Holger is feeling a lot better now. When we got home from shopping he felt very sick, had bad headache and light fever again. So more Ibu. Now he is feeling almost normal again... I hope this side effects do not cycle like aflu; otherwise he would have another unfunny night. Nevertheless he doesnt regret it a bit; he feels very relieved to finally have got his first shot!

Dandelion, I’ve been told Tylenol works better than ibuprofen for the side effects of the vaccines. Seems to be all over the internet. Might want to try. Stay safe.

I got nothing. No fever or sore muscles, and most importantly no super powers

I am glad to see that people are getting vaccinated. We have one dead, two who were hospitalized, and two "long haulers" - one of whom is age 12, in my extended family. And I still have a number of relatives who are refusing to get the shot(s).
Wishing good health to you all...

I was lucky to get a "needle date" with Johnson & Johnson last monday which means i am THROUGH - only one injection need!

That was interesting pgandy. Learned a few things. Russians have malls! Haha jk. But it does seem people are the same everywhere, not trusting their government or science. And now I kinda want the Sputnik vaccine. Jk again. Sounds like the Phizer or Moderna vaccines.

I’ve been in many cultures and find people basically the same, the differences are superficial.

I work in a level 1 trauma ER and have worked this pandemic from Day 1... wasn't too keen on getting the vaccine but I knew once the vaccine received "approved" status it'd be mandated, so... I took the 2 shot pfizer series back in December.
1st shot the arm was so sore it hurt to use it for a day and a half. The 2nd shot, I started feeling flu'ish about 11 hrs afterwards, body/joint aches, mild fever, headache, etc. but it resolved after about 12 hours.
Fast forward to the 3rd of this month, I tested positive for the delta variant and got sent home for a 10 day vaca'antine.

The following data for Costa Rica just published. “Across more than 864,500 fully vaccinated people in Costa Rica: 9,236 have tested positive for Covid-19 [1.07%]; 704 have required hospitalization (.08%), of whom 128 (.015%) were admitted to an ICU; and 199 people have died related to Covid-19 (.023%).” “Costa Rica is administering the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines.” It sounds as those two are working. I’ve heard no more of a booster in commencing 20 September. They are back to 2022. A side note, so far 400 people have been arrested using a false COVID-19 test result. shotokan I take it that you have recovered as that was 27 days ago?

Yes I have recovered, unfortunately I may now have post covid CHF. I have to make an appointment with the primary to have some labs drawn. Apparently the vaccines are only about 60% effective in preventing covid as we're now seeing a ton of break through positives, but they are 90% effective in most cases from preventing serious illness/ requiring hospitalization. As for the boosters, right now they're trying to push a 3rd shot booster for those over 65 y.o. and/or those who are immunocompromised.

Knowing how vaccines work, I do not see how they can help those who are immunocompromised. Since vaccines "train" the body's immune system to make the antibodies, those with weakened immune systems quite possibly will not develop them in sufficient amounts to be beneficial. My body's immune system is not producing antibodies in any significant amount. That is what it means to be immunocompromised. What about those with auto-immune disorders like rheumatoid arthritis or lupus. You go injecting vaccines into them and their own immune systems will attack their bodies. I am not saying not to get vaccinated. I just do not see how it will help people with messed up immune systems and in some cases they will do more harm than good. Just expressing my concerns.
