Was Peter Knecht French? I have a Simon Helvig eagle pommel with the same grip panels and pommel as your Knecht. Those are some sweet knights heads by the way. I just bought one somewhat similar to the 1st one on eBay a couple days ago & I’m waiting for it to arrive.

I think I saw that knights head...is it the one with the criss-cross grip? Heavy blade? Shorter, heavy blades tend to be earlier pre-civil war models.

There’s one like my unmarked knight head but it has a metal twisting grip. The seller’s starting it at like $50-$60 & there’s 3 days left

Also there’s one identical to the one I just bought but it includes the scabbard going for $250

Anybody who wants to sell/trade any eagleheads feel free to shoot me some pics/info/price and I’ll probably bite as long as it’s reasonable. I try to get at least 1-2 19th century American swords a month.
