I have bought blemished items from KOA before and have often found them to defy my expectations.
I once picked up a munitions grade sword (Balaur) which had a little twist in the blade from tempering.
I later passed on without attempting to remedy the problem, but I wonder - have you ever tried to fix a crooked munitions grade weapon?
were you successful?

Yes and yes. Do a search, theres a few tutorials using wood blocks etc. I'd do it for ya, but I'm only on my first cup of coffee.

Yes and also yes. Its quite possible to fix up the munitions grade swords. In fact, most are purchased with the idea of them being a project blade. Its that the vendor doesn't have the time or enthusiasm for doing it themselves since it costs more for them to fix it than they lose at the discount price.
