(been a while since ive posted) I picked up one of the kurokensai swords and found it a decent blade for its price , though I notice the blade itself has lots of minor blemishes , its functional and isnt bad for sub 200 sbg-sword-store.sword-buyers-guide.com/product1114.htmlI decided to polish and make a new habaki setup to keep with the black theme (still have original) resand & polish the polish came out well , the tang was covered in some black gunk so i cleaned and sanded the edges to be less edgy, some birs on the peg holes also removed and sanded during the sanding stage I started making the new habaki setup (black), used some jeweler files and a saw , seemed simple enough and then finished with hammering it to the blade for a nice semi tight fit the tsuba wasn't filed to fit and seemed to just be hammered on till it was stuck (a shame its actually nice) so i filed till it fit snug , though id like a tighter fit i might need to do new seppas that are thicker the end result is a nice and i was happy with it

Further work on the blade to bring out the hamon experimented with a new acid etch that yielded some nice results , afterword's I neutralized the acid , and did another polish pass the seppa will need to be changed to a thicker set (if anyone knows of a place to look for it id appreciate it) this final pass polish yielded an interesting look, near the habaki the blade material looks to be shaped into a triangular pattern
