Very interesting piece. Has anyone attempted to have him make a Mastersword from Zelda? I may be tempted... Not to my knowledge. Sure, Purna is very proficient with doing fantasy projects (given proper models and measurements) but is not yet that adept with double-edged blades (he does find them difficult as he is, first, a khukuri maker, which are notably single-edged). Having said that, he actually did very recently complete a xiphos with an awesome carved wood handle so he might be getting there with double-edged swords (his gladii are absolutely awesome too). So, the best way to really know is...to ask him and commission one of course.  (I'm always excited to see new works from him  ) |
