I was so impressed with the handling of the GGK Falcata that I had done that I wanted to add a Kopis to my collection, here we have the first images of it. This one will have a 20" blade when all done. What do you guys think? I will once this is completed do a full review of both of them combined.

In the process of getting the scabbard made, all of Purna's scabbards are wood cored.

This is looking terrific. Yours will be quite similar to mine in size. Hmm, is there another way of saying that? Anyway, I like the wood he/you chose for the grip, it's really attractive.

Yeah the wood looks amazing in person as he's using the same wood from the Falcata he made me for this one as well.

And here we have the completed Kopis, 820grams for the weight, what do you think? I'll post more pictures when it arrives with the Falcata side by side as well.

Looks very good! The grip appears to be the appropriate size this time, which I am excited about, and the point of balance looks correct. I think Purna has basically nailed the falcata/kopis now.

Cool cool stuff. I really like these type of blades for some reason, but just haven't put my hands to one ...
What is this gent's turn-around time ? if I may ask. Seems like you ordered the sword and he was hell-bent on finishing it before the sun went down the next day ... B-)
Though I suppose he'd have a Que ...

Seems like you ordered the sword and he was hell-bent on finishing it before the sun went down the next day ... B-) Though I suppose he'd have a Que ... Not my thread, but I can answer given my experience with Purna. His turnaround depends on the project. If you decide to commission something from him, be prepared with drawings, sketches, photos, and measurements, preferably in metric. Be prepared to use simple language to explain what it is you want to the finest detail. He prefers to receive monies via MoneyGram, which has been secure and reliable for me so far. MoneyGram charges a $9.99 fee for transferring the money via credit card, which makes the funds available immediately, but you can do a bank transfer that doesn't have a fee, it could just take a couple weeks for the funds to show up.
So it really depends on what you're asking for, how soon you can pay, how effectively you can communicate what it is you want, and how much time he needs to prepare. Usually, he'll do a sketch for you without any charge. He uses a life-size sketch as a template, so if you aren't happy with the sketch, you have to speak up or forever hold your peace.
He works very quickly and doesn't have much of a queue to be honest. He'll let you know if he cannot do what you want, or if he doesn't have the resources.
