Not much hobby time lately but here's a quick one on the Hanwei SOSM.
I used more pullup leather from Amaz*n and just wrapped it right over the existing grip, using clear gorilla glue. This gives it a little more girth. I wasn't going for perfection either and I find the worn look to give me license to relax and not worry about every possible flaw.

Very nice! It looks *just* like my Albion Reeve.

Looks great. Totally agree... the stock grip was super thin.

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate all the kind words.
This is my second one of these. The first I'd sent back because I wasn't happy with the construction methods at the price point. But a year later, still having a brazil-nut fetish going on, I thought I could just rebuild the hilt and slot the guard myself, making a properly-sized grip in the process. I found this example for $250 shipped at Chicago Knife Works - drop shipped from Blue Ridge Knives in VA. Super deal. Seems to be one of the original batch with the leather washer.
Anyways, for those with this model, super easy just to wrap some leather around the existing grip, and boom, you've got a way-less-puny grip, and the pommel doesn't look so huge anymore... eventually I'll get around to the rehilt.
