I am currently working on a seax design from the British museum.I am looking to reconstruct it though with my artist ideas I tend to go and try to make it. The design is based on this one:
It was a bit irritating but its fun at the same time. Though, I came up with this design with some estimated measurements.

The Blade in short would have a simple and elegant design. A broken back design with a fuller.
The blade would more likely be between 15 to 16 inches long. My personal thought that it might be on the longer range.
The distal taper as should would be 4mm at thickest.
The handle would be relatively short from 4 to 5 inches (though would fit most hands). According to the British museum it could have been made of horn so, I speculated a carved roundish horn design. But the maybe some copper or iron fittings based on speculations.
It would be about 700 grams, could be lighter.
The sheath was a big guess since I only was able to get out of the website that it was a scabbard with a wood core and leather covering. Also a simple look by my visuals. It might have some things for a sheath that gone horizontal on the waist but. I couldn't see it within the remains of the early Saxon blade.
I know this was not the most elaborate drawing or reproduction but it was fun to do. I am really considering getting this made now. The design for this originally iron seax is viable! Heck it might have a mix of fighting and some slight utilitarian purposes.
I don't know what do you all think of the design or rather reconstruction?
As another member shown me here are the links to the blade's location in the British Museum:
