What school? Do you want a training one or one with an iron chain and iron fundo? Edit: here I won't hold out, I had a training one made in the style of my school by a Mr. Matthew Wright of nine directions. It was very well made, and it didnt break the bank. ninedirections.com/contactHe did advise that he could forge the iron chain and fundo to specification if requested, though it would incur a higher cost. The training rope and fundo was sufficient and appreciated, and I would recommend his handiwork for practitioners. Tell him what you are looking for, and Jeff sent you.

Kusarigama is hard to come by, i would recommend buying a kama from amazon, search "farming sickle" and find some japanese ones. After that, buy a chain (to your required lenght) and a weight (i have an antique one, the ball is 140 grams ((you can find these in fishing equipment)). For training the same more and less applies. Buy a wooden training kama (most martial art suppliers have these, amazon to) and add a cord with something SOFT at the end. Be carefull when training

I've been seeing a lot of Kusarigama on eBay in the Asian antiques section lately. Quite a variety of styles. A very cool weapon, I imagine it takes a lot of diligence to develop real skill with it.

Can vouch for bad quality, flimsy construction and way to short chain Buying anitque from ebay or making one seams to be the best option
