I love mine. I sharpened the false edge, this was before I got my belt sander. That made a thrust penetration easier. I see Andi wrapped his grip, that has been on my list but never got around to it. Its handling reminds me of a short sword more than a knife. The only complaint, and it’s only a personal preference, is that I wish the quillon came up more. In addition to more protection I could then flip it around like I do my butterfly swords. Speaking of butterfly swords, I’ve often thought a second one of these for that drill would be great, but not enough to fight customs. It now looks customs is not concerned with knives, but it looks like that discovery came too late. I hope they have not discontinued this knife but then that’s Windlass’ thing. It’s a bargin at $76.

"I wouldn't expect a lot of finesse swordsmanship during the American Civil War."
I don't think that line was intended as a joke, but I laughed so hard when he said that.
That does look like a tough little blade!

I got my at £50 sharp in the UK. An absolute bargain. I remember your statement about the quillion & agree. What would you add, an inch in length?

Yup! I fattened my grip aswell. How did you do yours? I use felt furniture sliders. That are little pieces of felt in different sizes, one side sticky. They are intendet to be stuck under f.e. chair legs to protect the floor.

At today’s exchange rate that’s $ 67.55, a bargain indeed. This is a trainer and works well. It is also in keeping with photos I’ve seen of the originals.
