That's a nasty looking customer right there. The tip looks brutal and strong.

A good sturdy design that can take serious abuse and chop a standard Kabar in half. How much does it weigh?

A good sturdy design that can take serious abuse and chop a standard Kabar in half. How much does it weigh? 17oz, so it's basically a Kabar and a half in weight. But it's also several times as strong at 7mm thick with a full profiled tang. I may ask that they taper the tang for the actual production run. Actually, how about you tell me , would you prefer that they do that and save a couple ounces? Tapering the tang from guard to butt would be nice if cost isn't prohibitive. CS did that on the Warcraft tanto line.

Admittedly an exaggeration, as it (probably) could not, but an expression on how frail the rat-tailed Kabar is by comparison. Chop chop.

Worthy of a video attempt perhaps. I underline attempt. If I was to be able to do a video on it I would like to do it more from a specifics stand point. So for a piece like this it would be tests of: Thrusting through meat and bone. Slashes against clothed meat and bone. Pommel strikes to a coconut. Lastly, splitting wood, as I believe the thickness and wedge-like profile, fuller and wide tip/spine surface would allow for it. Kabar offers the BK7 which is orders of magnitude more robust than the classic military model and I think it would do admirably against your beast, but still come up short.

I think a prying test would be easier to prove that strength differential without destroying the edge of my knife lol You could hammer this thing into a tree and use it as a foot hold(For all the ninjas out there) The Kabar would fail this kind of task easy I am thinking. Agree, as the Kabar is still a good knife and you do not suffer much of a weight penalty. just use it for cutting and rely on other tools (maybe compact shovel or hatchet) if you have them.
