Sunflower seed or rice can be attached on a Moebius strip. Better working against vampires, but less food.

You can silver plate items at home with a liquid kit, but it will wear off quickly if you ever cut anything.
Engraving a blade and inlaying silver wire or sheet would work much better. You could probably get a knifemaker to do that on a blade you send him. But I'd use something that isn't irreplaceable/discontinued, which Danu is.

I once put together a "steampunk" vampire/monster hunter kit with an electrified whip. A string of those tiny decorative "bottle lights" spiral wrapped around a nice Western bullwhip/ (Like that scene in Underworld where a vamp uses one on a Lycan.) Could do that and just say they're UV lights--especially if you can get one made with bulbs that give off a black light-like color.

Why are you guys playing around with some fantasy vampire hunting BS kits when you can just buy a real Victorian era one? Plenty of them available. Guys, this is too important to leave to your mall ninja fantasy crap. Go real or go home!

That seems like a weird medical kit for treating tuberculosis.
There is something endearing about the Victorian contempt for reality...well...maybe endearing isn't the right word.

Scoff all you want, but I challenge ANYBODY to show factual evidence that any Victorian was legit killed by a vampire. The kits work, and I highly recommend everybody get at least one for the household.

I dunno, until I see some kinda of hard evidence to the contrary, I'm going to assume that those "authentic Victorian vampire hunting kits" are actually "authentic 20th/21st century money hunting kits".

Actually, most of them are genuine 1890's-ish vintage and most will come with some form of papers. Seriously, we joke about our "zombie" knives and mall ninja stuff, but truth be told, the Victorians had the same thing, only their deal was vampires. These vampire hunting kits were Victorian mall ninja gear. Think about how people 120/ 140 years from now will see our "authentic" zombie slayers (Brother Nathanial will no doubt be considered an "authority" by that time)....

These vampire hunting kits were Victorian mall ninja gear. Think about how people 120/ 140 years from now will see our "authentic" zombie slayers..... I'd definitely be interested in seeing those papers. I'm sure the kits are made up of actual antiques, but I'm much more dubious about the idea that they were assembled in the 19th century with the serious purpose of hunting vampires. Nothing I've read about/from the Victorian era leads me to believe that there was any kind of serious, widely held belief in vampires, zombies, werewolves, and the like. Seances, magics, and the occult, on the other hand? Absolutely. Edit: I should specify, when I say "Victorian era", I mean specifically Victorian era Western Europe and North America. For all I know, people may still believe in vampires in some remote Transylvanian mountain village. Edit 2: Actually, re-reading your post, it seems like you're saying these weren't taken seriously by the Victorian people (just like we have zombie hunting weapons but don't actually believe in zombies). That makes a lot more sense, but still, I'd like to see some kind of reliable authentication.

" Ladies...Keep the Blind-folds but please leave the dresses with my maids at the door, you won't need them..." ..So much debauchery you guys wouldn't even want to go in there.. That would be a lot of debauchery for a guy already dead 100 years....you could maybe be remembered that way....

I was thinking of getting something that functions similar but be welded from steel, similar to a flanged mace, with an inside I can add incense. Let's see a vampire take a punch of frankincense to the face, when it's inside a mace. As for the silver inlay, I considered that one too. Seems like a durable way to go, tho plating it myself would be neat. "yes the moon swords blade is coated in silver 😎". I figure since my sword of Danu is hallow ground, the concaves might hold the plating better

Guys, this is too important to leave to your mall ninja fantasy crap. Go real or go home! I considered buying one of these, but they are a bit pricey, so I figured I might as well build my own. I suppose I could always look at the contents and imitate it 🤔

"vampires aren't real" sounds like something a vampire would say 🤔 The smart vampire is the one who camps it up and dresses like Grandpa Munster and/or Elvira/Morticia. If you make your lair look like a cheesy Hammer Horror movie set, you have pretty much thrown off 99% of hunters.

He's the one with the most gear, therefor he has the obligation to use them Zen: I always thought an emo teenager with a twilight shirt was the perfect disguise for a vampire. Literally no one would ever believe them even with every piece of evidence
