Hello, I just joined. I have recently acquired an interest in swords/sabers to complement my military surplus firearms collection. So far I have: 1) Ames 1906 2) Pattern 1895 Argentine Short/Artillery/Police sword 3) Pattern 1898 Argentine Cavalry Saber 4)German Pattern 1889 Erfurt Infantry Sword w/Unit marking 5)German Pattern 1889 Wurttemburg Infantry sword with Unit ID to 248 Reserve Infantry Regt 6) Springfield M1913 "Patton Sword" made in 1914 Imgur link for photos of all: imgur.com/a/jE1BVHlAm looking for a decent US Springfield M1902 Pattern, as well as some US Civil War era blades. And may be acquiring an 1882 French Cavalry sword this weekend. I am trying to obtain blades that will compliment or go with some of my vintage arms. For instance, the 248th Res Inf Reg Pattern 1889 Infantry sword will go with my 1912 dated Luger, which is marked to the same overall unit. The M1906 Ames and the 1913 Patton go with my 1918 S&W revolver/M1911 and mounted rigs. The Argentine swords will go with my M1891 Argentine Cavalry Carbine and Argentine contract M1905 Mannlicher pistol. Hope to gain more knowledge of my collection and possibly seek other items to add. Thank you

Welcome to the forum, Jason! WELCOME TO THE BOARD JASON! I just joined last night . I live in Beautiful Crime free Buenos Aires and I Buy and Sell Authentic antique "GERMAN" manufactured REGLAMENTARY SABERS and SWORDS that were made for the ARGENTINE ARMY and Naval forces between 1870 and about 1940! THE GLORY YEARS OF EDGED WEAPONS! Think: Karl Eickhorn Wyersburg , Kirshbaum and Company W.K.C. Alexander Koppel and Company Solingen Only German but I have a French made 1822 Officer's Cavalry Sword made in FRANCE for ARGENTINA and an Interesting example of an Argentine Naval officer in 1940 who for OBVIOUS Religious REASONS he didn't want a sword made by the Nazis so he chose the English and inferior version instead! Great History! I'll be around and I will post some other interesting tidbits in due time! Since I see a lot of Sabers and swords I'm always trading up to improve the "Keepers" so most of them are One Of A Kind , Custom Made Gala or DRESS SWORDS ! Of course I have all the Accutrements like DRESS BELTS and Hangers and "Dragonas" and Eppaulets! It's another BAD HABIT! Well , not bad m just expensive but they have gone up more than the stock market and you can forget about GOLD! That's a Joke! Happy Slaying! Rambo
