I'd like to give a review a swing sometime!
I have done a simple video review which I posted as well as having done text reviews in the past on 'old' sbg which are now lost to time.

Hello there, If you are still looking for reviewers, I'd like to enter. I'm in Texas, USA and I have done a few sword tests/reviews on my youtube channel, which I will link below. I have an affinity for Medieval and Viking swords. Thanks for your consideration! -Jake Seems like this is the thread to find new reviewers! Thanks for sharing Jake!

So I've been browsing the site for the past few years and just finally signed up. If it is not too late to throw my hat into the ring, I would like to review some swords for you all. I live in Maryland, US. My preferred sword type medieval European and Japanese swords, though I am highly interested in just about all swords. I only have the two reviews for now, but I plan to do more as my collection grows:

Hey folks,
As many of you will know, SBG has contacts with pretty much every major sword supplier around the world.
The best suppliers and sword makers seek out feedback on their swords - refining them based on this feedback, or just leaving them as they are if they happened to simply 'get it right the first time' (it's rare, but it does happen!).
The problem for suppliers is finding reliable people to review and test the swords properly. And that my friends is where you come in..
Right now and into early 2021 there are quite a few swords that need an independent review. So if you are interested in being a part of this and get some free swords and the kudos that come along with a new review of a new sword, now is your chance!
To enter and register your interest, please provide the following details in this thread:
Your state and country Your preferred sword type (i.e. Medieval swords, Fantasy Swords, Viking Swords, Katana, etc, etc).
Links to any reviews you have done previously
We will then go over each entry and contact you directly if we find a sword that suits your interest and is approved by the maker based on how good your reviews to date are.
All swords sent will become YOUR property after the review is finished - so you are free to do with it whatever you want to so looking forward to seeing who will put their hand up..!
- Paul
SELECTED MEMBERS TO DATE (remember, you can be selected more than once!)

Black Oni Michigan united states'of America Katana and medieval swords www.youtube.com/channel UCB-DU5DFWGA6D8TKN-EP96G I am looking to test swords and review them on my YouTube channel and Facebook page.. I have 4 1/2 years of training in bujinkin budo taijutsu and battojutsu I can split logs with a Chinese warsword and I train everyday with a sword I have around 20 swords mostly katanas and I have been cutting up tree branches and logs for almost 19 years the only reviews I have done were on my own swords I purchased and those reviews were not endorsed I did it because I enjoy helping people find a good sword that they can actually rely on Here is a link to my YouTube channel all my sword demonstration videos are on there www.youtube.com/channel/UCB-DU5DFWGA6D8TKN-EP96G and I have them all saved in one playlist names my training videos if anyone is interested in seeing them I only have a few right now and I am in the process of making another one with my t10 clay tempered full Tang katana from eroton 1090 carbon steel blade. Which should be a little more interesting than the other ones I have made. Thanks for the chance to possibly get to actually review and test some swords out if I am ever chosen and thanks for allowing me to join your forum where I have actually learned a few different things I didn't know yet if anything the chance for more knowledge about swords and such is worth it to me

Hi I'm Mike and my website is called Black Oni well my YouTube channel and Facebook page is called that I have been collecting swords and cutting mainly trees and branches and wood with them since I got my first sword at 22 years old I learned alot of things on my own especially that when you are tired you may tend to hit with the flat of the blade and bend your sword I'm 40 years old now and I can split logs with a Chinese warsword and I recently broke the one I had after 10-15 years of having it I basically used it like an axe because I didn't have an axe and I bought another one from cold steel the machete version my previous one was 420 j2 stainless steel and I was sad when it broke.. I put it on the grinder and ground a new handle on the bottom 5-6 inches of the blade and I tried to wrap it with Paracord but I didn't like the feeling of it I need to grind it down to be a little more skinnier than it is now and I was wondering if anyone know where I can get the best wood for making a wooden handle on it full Tang design with two holes for rivets or if anyone knows of a better way to put a handle on it thanks

I would love the chance to review some stuff if it still isn't too late. I am quite active on youtube and the like and am very capable of leaving good reviews and testing/etc. Quite experienced with martial arts training/HEMA/ and Kenjutsu/Iaido. I stick to medieval swords and japanese swords as my main practices. I also enjoy Chinese and Korean Swords.
, Not relevant to swords in this particular video but I have others practicing my Jeet Kune do and the like and would very much enjoy making sword reviews on my channel.

Sharp blades are good to have, if Shire-folk go walking, east, south, far away into dark and danger.

Might as well ask, right? I'm in the USA in Florida and most of you have probably sold SOMETHING to me! I've reviewed several things I've gotten (for good or ill) this past year or so. I don't have a review system down and I'm not a HEMA practitioner so I'm not going to start chopping or destroy anything that comes my way and, compared to most of the people on here, I'm a newbie. But I have enough weapons now to know what feels good and what to look for and I know my steel types and what makes a balanced blade with good fit and finish. If given the opportunity I may even do some historical background and get a set of calipers to check out distal taper. As far as examples I'm sure the mods can just check out my post history. As far as types, I'd say I'm more familiar with arming swords and short swords, like celtic and xiphos style, and daggers. I have a few (3) rapiers, 2 vikings and a few longswords so I could compare with similar items. I'm not a knowledgeable katana person or military saber guy and have nothing higher end than a few DSA and a couple Kingdom of Arms items, so sending an Albion or VA would be kind of pointless (sadly) because I have nothing to compare it to. In the end, you only know what you've held in your hands, so this is what I have if that helps. Id be interested in reviewing any japanese swords. Could also do a destructive test as well. Preferably katana/uchigatana, but could also do wakizashi.
