The steel parts of my Castillon project have finally come together. I am going to do some minor reshaping and finishing on the hilt fittings before I peen it, then it will get a sandwiched plywood grip like an Albion.

Finished. Final weight 2lb 15oz, blade 35.125, grip shortened to 3.75, 5.125 balance.
Hot peen with Bernzomatic TS8000 and map gas. What you need to do the job (at least). Ceramic fiber sock to keep the breeze off afterwards.
Black walnut knife scales hogged out and contoured.
Grip fitted.
Red lambskin grip.
After sharpening / satin polish:
