What bill, or legislation would that be? There is no mention of such in that article.

I don’t think he’s talking about a legislation that’s in the works. I’m guessing he means Canada might now enact something similar to what the U.K. has as a result of this.

Article mentioned stab wounds, so wonder what type sword. A pointed one. Sorry, I couldn’t resist. Gallows humor.

Speculating then.
BBC lists the sword as Japanese style, per the chief of police's remarks to the press.

Article mentioned stab wounds, so wonder what type sword. That was my thought. With “"a lot of blood."” I would have thought a cut. My thoughts of journalist’s accuracy leaves something to be desired.

Edit: Japanese style ends the speculation, but "lots of blood" was also a clue.

A sad example of an individual got into a killing spree with a sword in Quebec city (Canada) last night, not much details are known except for the victims and that the weapon of choice was reportedly a katana.

I hear someone got killed in a motor vehicle accident, time to have "car control". Register vehicles and license owners....that should do the trick!

I mean, most everywhere does, and there are still accidents, but very few cases of people deliberately running someone over as a premeditated attack... Also, millions of people still manage to buy and own cars. It's a silly, but favorite, argument.
