Gonna admit. I have no idea how to deal with such situations. Spirits are always fickle even if you think you can win
With #1: if I can't exorcise it, I'll try meet it's demands in a duel and hope I can meet the demands, survive, and the spirit will be satisfied. A spirit with such strong resolution can (theoretically) only be combated by meeting its demands and hoping they are humane, if an excorcism won't work in my favour. Would like to keep some exorcists around just in case
With #2: truth be told I dunno if I'll bother. Spirits aren't physical, so I dunno what I would do. You know, maybe I would use this in the other situation, I would like a silver inlaid blade, blessed by a trusted spiritual advisor. If I could, I would do the same with arrow heads, to hope that a tree top will give me an advantage. But on the other hand, what I can do is try contain it. Hopefully I can find a sword to beat them both in a duel at the cost of trapping them in that sword, and bury it beneath the ground

Awesome ideas! Ya know. There is nothing within the rules that say any of these targets can't be persuaded, exorcised, tricked, or even seduced (😍). Only that you must "eliminate" them. For example, If you can convince a troll it might be a good idea to dive in that deep pool of water over there and then just shoot him with arrows while he tries to swim to shore, that is perfectly viable. I never put the stats for intelligence of these targets. Remember target #2 on this thread is below average intelligence for starters. Origin stories give clues guys. The merman brothers (Thread #1) are another example, they are savage carnal degenerates. You can easily trick them into a trap with a scantily clad woman for example. I suppose I have a lot of doubt because of my own limitations. But it's why I always prioritize psychological warfare. Admittedly, I won't make the best answer off the bat if I was really doing this, I would but years of research first to understand my enemy

Remember this part. " In the end , Serpente would only ever feel the touch of another living being in battle." I try train in martial arts but so much of my concepts are based around surprise and traps. Maybe if I Personally knew a better duellist 😅

Maybe if I Personally knew a better duellist 😅 I am sure he is confident enough you can goad him into dueling both people at the same time lol. If I had a second to work with, I can see that working tbh 🤔 when you exhaust all other options with another, you extend your knowledge by twice sometiems
