Yes. Read the book, skip the film! And then read the entire Adversary cycle and the Repairman Jack novels. You’ll be glad you did. Also, if you dig around you can find audio commentary that Wilson recorded to go with the movie version of The Keep. Funny stuff.

On topic, fellas, S'il vous plaît. Although no quite horror, it has horror elements with swords!: Soloman Kane (2009): Tales from the hood (1995) ONLY THE FIRST ONE, SEQUEL IS GARBAGE. Third, I haven't seen yet. Please don't overlook this one due to the political material it's probably one of my favorites. I can go on and on about this film: Okay, you've inspired me. The following short list is all your fault!!!!

It's what happens every time someone takes my advice and watches the entire "Trick or Treat" vid. That's why I'm never allowed to pick the movie on movie night.

I really liked "Solomon Kane". It was unexpectedly good. It even had a cohesive plot and character development- something you don't see much in modern cinema.
I like the concept of "Ghost Rider", not the Nick Cage movie, but the concept. GR had a good showing in Agents of SHIELD, and I wish they would make another better movie out of it. It could be horror, it could be hero, I like the ambiguity. But maybe I'm asking for too much.
And I have to give another shout out to the Koreans. "The Wailing" is a pretty spooky movie, lots of tense moments and a feeling of creeping doom. Very well done and worth a watch.

Oh, right... read over that one. Actually the movie is one of my guilty pleasures from the 80ies; its kinda mutilated but you clearly can see and feel Michael Manns hand there. Top director IMHO. I found the book dull and boring; might give it one more reading chance.

Not really a horror, but we watched The Little Girl Who Lived Down The Lane. Always been a big Jody Foster fan, to bad she is gay and I have no chance with her.

OMG driggers, you are singing my song on both counts. Have been a huge fan of hers for so many years. Was talking to a client/friend about movies/actors and said I thought Jodie Foster was the best dramatic actress of our generation. I’m 64. She said ‘What about Meryl Streep?’ I said yeah I guess. The she asked if I had a bit of a crush on Jodie? My response, Well, ah yes. 😏 Now back to the horror show.
