Review of www.kingdomofarms.com Swords recap & Khukuri
I just wanted to recap the reviews I have been posting of the Kingdom of Arms swords over the past weeks. To start with I am including photos of the swords after I cleaned them up. In the previous reviews I stated that I was sure that they would clean up fine, and after a little work with some fine oil and a Scotsbright pad they did, as you can see. I feel that I really pushed it with the swords and abused them far more that I am sure you would want to do with something that you have spent your hard earned money on. Plus I need to stress far beyond safe use of a sword. So overall I feel safe in saying that I think these swords (and knife) I tested are strong and tough. Are they the best thing on the market? I cannot say unless I was able to test everything like I did these. Do I think they are indestructible? No of course not. I am 68 years old and still have a good strong sword arm and know that there are things I could do to damage and break these swords. But that goes for any sword. I mean that is just the nature of the beast. Just try and imagine how many swords that have been used up in the wars of the past. If thousands were not destroyed we would be knee deep in the things. But I can say that the ones I tested are a good, strong fully hand made and hand forged blade with good fit and finish that should hold up well to normal use and are a safe bet of being worth you buying.
OK now for the Khukri. Click Here! I am posting a couple of short videos of me cutting my old enemies wild privet and a dead pine tree. The knife performed just fine and would make for a good friend to take camping and into the field in general. I have included photos after the fact and the full profile tanged knife with textured scales are still like new. The Khukuri comes with a strong wood and leather scabbard also.
Cheers,
