I keep hearing a lot of talk about people removing the bluing from and polishing the Cold Steel MAA swords, but have yet to see any pictures, so I decided to share my completed work. I removed the bluing with White Vinegar, then polished the steel bits with Brasso. The blade is almost a perfect mirror finish, but I didnt want it that shiny

Would like to see photos. As to the unwanted mirror finish, no problem. Go over the blade with sandpaper. I'd start with a fine grit, no coarser than 1500 then work to the coarser grits until the finish is to your liking. I suspect that will be somewhere with 600-400. Do so with a light oil.

You can also dull a mirror finish down to a more satin-y sheen with grey scotchbrite.
