I bought a Blucher style antique artillery sword from monaghansword.com.
Communication was fast, as was shipping. Packaging was fine.
However, opening the package yielded some unhappy surprises. He failed to disclose a number of issues with the saber, including a bent and twisted blade, some red rust, a remarkable amount of black “patina,” and a heavy smelly coating of dirt and grime. So, pretty disappointing.
Upon communicating my unhappiness, he offered an unspecified discount on a future purchase. Obviously, I won’t be making any future purchases, so I’m not sure what that’s worth.
Anyway, buyer beware, I suppose. He may sell really nice stuff, too. Just be sure to demand numerous clear “non-artistic” photos and commit to a detailed exacting description first.
I guess I don’t recommend the seller, but he did promptly send a genuine sword. So hopefully your experience will be better.

Almost like buying from china but even they will usually offer a full refund if you are unhappy or something was not as represented. I recently purchased a M1840 light artillery saber bade by Emerson & Silver, a somewhat rare item only to have a temp employee in the shipping department of the seller fail to put in a box and it was damaged in shipping. Seller immediately offered me a full refund or a substantial discount to pay for the repair. I chose to return it as the repair would have required disassembly of the hilt and that hurt its "originality" in my eyes. It was a large east coast pawn shop off Ebay. its always so hard to know how sellers of these things will handle a complaint without a posted return policy.
