Hi all, I have searched to try and find information about the lower sword but i can't find anything.... I'm only interested in the police hanger and if i get them i would sell the other one. Does anyone out there have an idea of what this might be and a value...? Many thanks....

Looks like a mid C18th infantry hanger of some sort.

I want 10%.
Hangers of this type lingered into the 1830s or so. Appraisal with that one photo and no sale description is folly.
How is it listed. Post real photos.
My take is early 19th century and Scandik or continental.
Cheers GC

Sorry edelweiss, this is the only photo i have.
I know about the top sword, it is the lower one that i need some info on. it is described as a European small sword the blade stamped with mark on the outer face, with brass shell guard, spiral grip and bulbous pommel;
That's all i have.
Thanks,
Steve.

"the blade stamped with mark on the outer face, with brass shell guard, spiral grip and bulbous pommel" That is more useless than the photo. What mark? I have a silver car. Can you tell me what model and year it is? It has a rear window wiper. When was the last time the oil was changed? See what I mean? The one photo at an oblique doesn't tell us much. Once in a great while, instant recognition is possible. I've given a best wild assed guess. Cheers GC I still want 10%

The well defined fuller speaks 19th century to me. If it did not have the well defined fuller, I'd have guessed a Danish 1838. Possibly the western Europe lowlands or Germanic state. It is one of the stumble upon or instant recognition types. I'm seeing the folks at the facebook group www.facebook.com/groups/iascpost International Antique Sword Collectors with a lot of knowing eyes that would jump on it pretty quick. Other knowledgable forums won't want to coach sales/buys or offer values. Cheers GC

The 2 I own Could be a Swedish "Huggare m/1748" (there is also a m/1798) I have 2 with different blades, seen a few more variants There is also a m/1748-1856 adopted to marines as a cutlass Value up to maybe 150 euro
