The point is broken aprox. 2 cm. Brands "CLAUBERG - SOLINGEN" and logo: standing knight. Scabbard: GB in a circle and possibily "2" in suspension ring Attachments:

Welcome to the forum Ospikalen. Sorry I’m not going to be able to help with your question. But we have several serious collectors and no doubt someone will chime in. I’ll say this, don’t count on the scabbard markings for the sword information as they are sometimes not matched. While reading your post I came across “latón” and immediately thought Spanish? And then saw Argentina. We have no other members from Argentine. I’m in Costa Rica and we call them espaldas. I’m also the only member from my country.

Hello, thanks for the info (marks of the scabbard). Yes! In Argentina the "latón" ("tinny noise" when saber and scabbard were struck on horses or on the ground) are highly valued (affectively) because they were part of the independence war and the "Conquista del Desierto " (conquest of the desert, in 1879/1880)
