Fantastic Knife! Instantly brought this to mind from American Legends:
A 1661 Jesuit Relations document stated:
“What caused us greater concern was the intelligence that met us upon entering the Lake, namely, that the men deputed by our Conductor for the purpose of summoning the Nations to the North Sea, and assigning them a rendezvous, where they were to await our coming, had met their death the previous Winter in a very strange manner. Those poor men (according to the report given us) were seized with an ailment unknown to us, but not very unusual among the people we were seeking. They are afflicted with neither lunacy, hypochondria, nor frenzy; but have a combination of all these species of disease, which affects their imaginations and causes them a more than canine hunger. This makes them so ravenous for human flesh that they pounce upon women, children, and even upon men, like veritable werewolves, and devour them voraciously, without being able to appease or glut their appetite – ever seeking fresh prey, and the more greedily the more they eat. This ailment attacked our deputies; and, as death is the sole remedy among those simple people for checking such acts of murder, they were slain in order to stay the course of their madness"

Love this. The grip is really beautiful and ergonomic. The blade is stunning too.

Super, duper nice. Been thinking 'bout talking to Gulzar 'bout a Fitzen-/Bagwell-style custom for some time now. But I’m drowning in bowies (still can’t get enough, of course, this stuff is the sickness). Again, Brother, super nice knife and such a cool name for it. Love that sloping handle. So cool.
Can't wait to see the other two.

Yes sir definitely Fitzen/Bagwell, greatly, Fitzen had one almost exactly like this one but I think this one is improved upon. More clean in dimensions, higher grind, Nicer handle shape. All of the Bart Moore features, even spine serrations. It's basically a Bart Moore, Fitzen and Bagwell Mixture with a touch of BN. The other two are are purely my brainchildren lol I know you will like them too. I can see what you did with the improvements. There’s no mistaking you have a hand for this stuff, Brother. Great you came to work with Gulzar on that one. Man, I think I want one of these, badly. Really looking forward to the other ones.

Good Lord, this is AWE-and-then-SOME! Easily one of my top 5 favorite bowies I ever saw on picture – no kidding. I have ordered eight knives from Ursa by now – but this I gotta have, gotta have it, too. Please keep posting about this when you get it, Brother. This thing is fan-friggin’-tastic!

Looks just spectacular. Can't wait to hear how she handles. Ya know, it's interesting you say that. I too am wondering how she will handle. There is not too much off-setting mass in the tang but it does have some hefty steel fittings and a rather aggressive grind profile. Hmmmmm. As we speak I am getting estimates on my next design, A more modern combat/hog dispatching type piece ... The War Shark. On that one I am thinking of going with a USA maker. Maybe even with a Cerakote coated blade and a kydex sheath. Just about everything you have been showing lately would do amazingly well in "bacon making"..

UPDATE!!! I have received all 3 bowies, I am now working on a thread. Quality on all pieces is higher then expected, Certainly close to Semi-Custom USA stuff like Bark River although they do share the same price point so this may be expected to some. Easily my most impressive custom knives of any of my collection. Although there was some time frame issues, communication issues, etc With Mr. Ahmed he certainly delivers some high quality products and it all worked out in the end. Don’t think I’ve ever waited so eagerly for a review of anything. Just yesterday I got in four bowies from Ursa. His updated Edwin Forrest bowie, mirror finish, with tapered tang and a little wider blade than his previous models - just like on the original. God, I love that one. A 12" aged blade Juan Padillo bowie with coffin handle. A Bowie No. 1 with aged finish. And another of the aged Mussos. Each is as awesome as can be.
So, yeah, eagerly waiting for input for my next order.
