Hello folks,
even though my interest in swords (and ownership of some) by now is more than two decades, I probably qualify as beginner (again), hence the choice of forum. I will tell a little about my interests and background soon, but please allow me to start with a question:
How are Kingston Arms swords marked on the blade, specifically, in case someone owns it, the Kingston Arms Fencing Side Sword?
I have not followed the news for a while, but from what I read in the last few days, Kingston Arms is in fact a brand of Hanwei, and Hanwei Swords back in the day were usually marked on the blade as "Hanwei made in China" or similar.
While I am aware that Hanwei is actually made in China, and do not have much of a problem with that, in using swords as a costume accessoire (which i sometimes do), such an marking on the blade does not help the immersive experience that I and others are looking for.
So, please do educate me about those blade markings, if you be so kind.
Regards,
Bernhard

My sharp renaissance sidesword has a stylized horse above a "Made in Dalian China" writing. So small that it's hard to read. My Atrim designed XIV has a mark with a shield with a cross in it and a crown above. Both are small and hard to see.
... and welcome to the forum!

Mine is from Kingston Arms. Afaik there are some differences between the old Hanwei and the new KA.

Yup, that's also on my XIV. Perhaps for the Euros or just for the Atrim designs?
