Take this with a grain of salt.
My initial impression is, that it's a Bayonet(possibly yataghan) with a cane handle attached. Acorns have been used as symbols for centuries by many different cultures, so can't comment on that. Either way, I think someone just made this for whatever reason. Also, handle looks too porus to be Ivory.

The blade looks like a cut down saber blade, to me, and I think the grip shape suggests South-East Asia or the Philippines rather than Japan, but that's all I could say.

It's not a yataghan bayonet, the fuller is straight. It looks like a cut down sword blade to me.
Edit: took another look, fuller isn't straight there's a curve, but only one way.
