Hi, am new on here and was wondering if I could get some info on this sword and an idea of value if I was to sell it......was part of my late brother in laws estate.....and I know absolutely nothing about it, the blade is approx 28 inches long. I have a lot more pictures, but they are too big to be uploaded. WITH THANKS HOLLIESDAD

Looks like a late 20th century aluminum alloy tourist sword. Or it simply could be an aluminium alloy martial arts catalogue sword from the late 70s mid 80s. It's hard to say because the grip and saya (scabbard) look very tourist style but the blade and hilt pieces look like ones I've seen on those catalogue displays swords.
Honestly its not going to be worth much, maybe $50. Rather than sell it, it would be better to be given to a family member with a slight interest in swords or sold/donated to a local asian cuisine restaurant for a cool wall display.

Yeah, sorry to say it doesn't look valuable; it's a non-functional replica.
It's not the same as yours, but similar.

I had one, long ago, very similar...steel blade, dull, probably stainless. Other parts simular. Decent display sword. Not a real sword. Usable for a beginner sword student who lacks funds for better. A good choice to show to kids when trying to educate them about swords. Not valuable, but useful for some things.
