I don’t know if you planed it but I like the way the dark grain line in the handle kinda lines up with the fuller on the blade. Not a big fan of forward curving blades but this looks really good. I’m sure your friend will be pleased.

It cuts very well in a variety of ways. The shape of the tip on originals I researched seemed odd at first, but then I discovered that it allows draw cuts without any snag points. It thrusts pretty well too.

Had to get out my Windlass Cobra Steel Talon after reading all this. Definitely not curve to the tip just comes to a sharp point. Like I said not a big fan but they are growing on me. And in case I didn’t say it, nice knife.
