Hi,
How do we subscribe to a forum category - to non-business sell and trade for example? I looked everywhere and couldn't find it, but I'm sure such a basic functionality must be present? In case it isn't available, how do we submit tickets to the forum admins to recommend adding a functionality?
Thanks!

Welcome! This would, in fact, be one way of bringing things to our attention. At the top of each sub-forum, there's a "Notification Options", er, option under the "Actions" drop menu. Does that have what you're looking for?

Hi, and thanks for the quick reply!
It doesn't seem so - though I can set the frequency of updates next to new threads I can't check the box next to it which makes me think it's inactive. Is there a way to make those clickable or do I not need to check those for the notifications to be sent?

Well, there are two separate columns for each "New Things" category: Forum and Email.
The "Forum" column just has a checkbox and ticking it means you get an on-forum notification when those things appear in that specific board. It seems that the on-forum notifications for new threads and posts are, indeed, disabled (and beyond my power to enable, from what I could tell from a cursory search).
The "Email" column has dropboxes where you can choose not only whether to receive notifications vie email, but also how often - never, instantly each time a thing happens, or in daily/weekly/smart summaries. These should be active for all categories.

Whether it works or not, it is a drop down within the drop down. The two top do seem to not have active buttons to click on my browser but the options are there.

Even on mobile, you can switch to the desktop layout (and back) from a link at the bottom of every page - or by turning on "Desktop site" or similarly named setting in your browser.

Yeah, desktop on a mobile isn’t that great. Everything is very small. But hopefully a laptop is in my future soon.
