The pay as such means little to nothing without knowing the buying power at the same time. faculty.goucher.edu/eng240/medieval_prices.htmlBoth wages and costs are listed there Entire histories of the UK can be found here www.british-history.ac.uk/As mentioned, Clisto's bookmarks are worth delving into www.sirclisto.com/More information that goes beyond videos and wiki pages sourcebooks.fordham.edu/sbook.aspMatt was a historian in his university days (some may know that) and he draws a lot from information I just linked (again). Not knowing how far a wage might stretch is entirely a matter of seeking out the information. Start by breaking down Japanese soldiers, for instance. A feudal society where most were living with no real wage whatsoever. Conscripts, marching for daily food.
