Hello fellow sword lovers, I came across this (Longsword)? At my local pawn shops and paid $40 for it. I am in the process of restoring it at the moment. The blade, cross guard, and pommel had quite a few rust spots on them, as well as just “junk”. But between some Flitz and a cloth buffing wheel I am really making it into something nice. The only markings on it are the digits “G2” on top of the cross guard. With a Google search I came up with “Generation Two” and apparently this is an older Sword but well made. Other than that I really can’t find anything else about it. The Sword is still very sharp and feels awesome in the hand(s). If anybody can tell me anything about this Sword I would be very grateful. -Casey

I can see no pictures or you didn't post'em. G2 typically means Generation2/Legacy Arms. I bought several swords from this forge 2012/2013 but they had the later LA stamp. They made good swords in general but had some problems sometimes.

It looks like the old Gen2 Black Prince Sword: sbg-sword-forum.forums.net/thread/24284I have the cousin of this sword, the Lucerne, with a longer grip and shorter blade, it's stil one of my favourites. If it's this sword $ 40 is a good price.

Thank you guys for all for the help 👍👍👍. It is INDEED an older Generation 2 "Black Prince" Longsword. The cheapest one I have been able to find was $300 on EBay/Amazon. I am honestly ALL AROUND THRILLED with this purchase; not only did I acquire it for $40, but it was a diamond in the rough. I love cleaning up old swords and I got to do this one. Thirdly this Sword is now a beautiful, shiny, razor sharp BEAST. With excellent handling also. So THANK YOU AGAIN GUYS! Especially ANDITHEBARVARIAN in helping me identify this Sword.
